Our client’s situation:
A telecommunications provider wished to launch and operate a new Pay TV platform. The service provider had limited resources and knowledge of content security, so they needed a partner to provide comprehensive support to take them from contract negotiation and compliance, to the establishment of a robust content security governance model. The provider enlisted Cartesian using our Security as a Service engagement model, based on our broad set of security skills and industry experience.
What we did:
- We supported content negotiations with multiple rights owners, security governance for the TV platform, technology selection, and on-going risk assessment for the client’s technology roadmap.
- With our collaborative approach, we ensured processes fit with existing legal, risk, fraud, technology, operations and commercial team processes.
Client gains:
Our client’s TV platform achieved approval for carriage of premium content from multiple rights owners. Governance policy and processes were defined and implemented, and teams responsible for content security were trained. Our client has also engaged us to provide on-going security support.
